What is Liposuction?

Liposuction, commonly referred to as "lipo" is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that removes excess fat deposits from specific areas of the body improving your body contours and proportion.

At Fit-Life MD we perform Laser-assisted liposuction "Smart-Lipo" in combination with Tumescent liposuction in order to achieve outstanding results. During the procedure a sterile solution of ringer’s Lactate mixed with Lidocaine and epinephrine is injected into the area where the fat is to be removed. The solution numbs the area and reduces bleeding thus makes it easier to suction the fat with minimal pain or bleeding. The addition of Laser-assisted liposuction, in which a laser it utilized to produce a burst of energy to liquefy the fat makes the process of fat extraction and harvesting even more efficient and less traumatic and adds a component of skin tightening in order to enhance the results of the procedure.
